How do we make a design that is friendly for a user that may be in crisis or a high stress situation? After carefully looking at the details of various designs in a similar realm, the team came up with the concept of the design being presented as straightforward, calming and reliable. The layout would not be unique or have too much going on, the color should sooth and the choices for CTA’s and other elements of design needed to be strong without being too bold. This combination of choices aided with the for continuity throughout the experience.
TACTICAL HEALTH CARE
This was a Bootcamp project for school. I was part of a team of 2 UX/UI designers. Our client was Tactical Healthcare, an online alternative to 911. We had 2 weeks to complete the project. Our team was tasked with creating various user flows for a user requesting assistance.
Blue was chosen for the design due to its calming, stabilizing effect, Aqua matched the logo and was introduced for use on the waiting screen. We built in a series of blue choices for easier future iterations. Slightly rounded buttons on the interface gave a serious but not too harsh feel for the app. They layout was an amalgam of a variety of designs we reasearched.

This was the first collaborative project I was a part of in school. Using Trello, my partner and I communicated with each other. Working as a team on-line was an invaluable experience. I have experience working in tandem with clients, but it was wonderful to work with my talented classmate, learning and collaborating on solutions.
